Period-like cramps and dull low back pain...sign of labor?

For those of you who have experienced labor before, did it start out like this? I was up all night with this cramping and low back pain. I'm 40+4 and hoping this is a good sign!

I just gave birth to my son yesterday at 40+4! I had a terrible backache for those last four days along with on and off cramping. He came fast--I was already at an 8 when we got to hospital! (Baby #3) Good luck😘

Thanks ladies! I'm thinking it might be early labor. The cramps have slowed down but the back pain is still there. Hoping to see some real contractions as the day goes on.

I had back labor and it was awful. When it first started it was constant
