Anyone have a sudden increase in blood pressure?

I'm 39 weeks and I had three high blood pressure readings today. They hooked me up to the monitor and baby looked good. They found traces of protein in my urine and I am waiting for blood work results now. I am waiting to hear if I will need to be induced, but trying not to get my hopes up! Was anyone induced from a sudden increase in blood pressure alone?

Yes! My whole pregnancy my BP was low or perfect. Today it was 133/91 so they re checked at the end of appt and it dropped to 122/81.. I also had some protein in my urine and dr wants me back Friday to re check and if no improvement then schedule induction. I reallyyyyyy do not want to be induced so this whole week I'm going to take it as easy as possible to let baby come naturally. I think it may be raised some from all the back pain I'm in constantly..

I was induced at 38 + 6 for high blood pressure. I'd had high numbers for almost two weeks by the time my son was born.

I almost was! My bp has always been low and at my 39w appointment it was high twice. They sent me to the hospital and my midwife told me if it remained high there, they would induce me. It ended up going down. I hope all goes well for you!!
