Lately I've been feeling really bad and I feel I need to tell my husband the truth. I am planning on doing so when he comes back in February since he's working out of town. So this is the secret I've been keeping from him. We had some furniture on layaway. I was in charge of making payments. So, what he doesn't know is that that furniture was liquidated a couple months ago. It was a childrens bedroom set with bunk beds and two nightstands, a mirror, etc. We were going to put it in our the third room for our kids (they have a queen bed in the second room which they rarely use since toddler sleeps in crib and baby sleeps with us). Anyways. I gave the set to my little nephews who live in extreme poverty. They would never ever have something like that. I wanted to give them something nice. And we can afford to buy another set for our kids who aren't even going to be using it any time soon. Thing is my husband gets annoyed because he thinks I help them out too much. I give them my oldests clothes when he grows out of them. Or my clothes or whatever we don't use anymore in the house and my sil resales anything she doesn't need and makes a bit of money. Ocassionally I give them money especially for the kids school supplies, uniforms etc. Or an emergency. Anyone ever been in a similar situation?
