Have water tests worked for you?

Somehow my other poll was deleted, for those who don't know, a water test is putting water in the collecting spot once the test is dried and apparently it washes away any "untrue" lines (evap lines) but keeps those lines of color. I want to know if anyone determined their bfp from this and if it was right?
