My Castor oil experience as it unfolds.

I'm done. Im tired. Im ready!!!!

Today is the day I get to start trying to get her out. After months of reading labor stories and looking at color progress pictures of babies its finally time. Thank God!!!

Before I start I know the risks. I've read, studied and researched Castor oil and the effects of baby. What I know is that for every article that negates it, there's one that promotes it. I feel like Castor Oil is the Trump vs. Clinton of pregnant woman. Every one has a vote and opinion. Please respect mine.

Ok so on with the good stuff.

Im 37ish weeks. I've been measuring ahead, but Dr said that if it isnt a huge difference they won't change due date. Im dilated to a 3, but baby is still so high that I will probably stay that way for awhile. Were hoping at the very least the oil helps drop baby. I just want to be able to breathe without choking on stomach acid. Hopefully the oil at the very least will clean me out enough to clear up some of the heart burn.

Ok so update 1: Took 2 tablespoons at 5:00pm on empty stomach. Mixed it with juice.

Update 2: 5:45pm Hubs and I went on a mile hike through the woods in our backyard. Lots of hills and climbing over limbs. Feeling ALOT of pressure in pelvs area. Now Hubs is cooking chili. Hoping the spice helps.

Update 3: 7:30pm took 2 more tablespoons at 7. Been active and cleaning non stop. Feeling some bubbling, but no contractions or poop yet. Lots of pressure below. Drinking lots of water and chewing on ice. Went through 2 cups of ice so far. Its gonna be a long night.

Update 4: 9:30 had first round of diarrhea. Cramping still with mild contractions that are worse when I move around. Feeling nauseous so gonna take it easy and lay down for a bit. Update if anything else happens.

Update 12am: Had another trip to potty at 11. Its been a hour and nothing since then. Bubbling and contractions have stopped. Baby is moving alot which leaves me to believe that all I did was make more room for her to stretch out in and get comfortable. She's being stubborn. Hubs has given up and accepted the fact that he has to work tomorrow and gone to bed. All in all it wasn't bad. I feel lighter and heart burn isn't so bad anymore. I'm definitely glad I took it if not for the reason of getting cleaned out. I say go for it. I think my down fall was not moving alot. I wish I would have taken it in the morning so I could walk outside more. I wish you all good luck and if anything else happens I will update.

Update 8pm following day: Had some bloody mucus. Heart burn definitely eased up. Didn't have to take meds today. No other sighs of labor. All contractions stopped last night.
