Is my baby autistic ?

So I'm 5 months pregnant it's my first time and I am very concerned I have two autisitc brothers and I'm just really scared my baby might be too . My doctor told me it's genetics none of the blood work or any exams I'll have will show if the baby has the chance to be autistic or not . If anybody is in a similar sititution or just some advice would be nice

I'm a psychologist, a certified qualified mental health professional, and an ABA therapist. I work as a behavior clinician for youth with autism. So, this information has some degree of merit.

1. Vaccines absolutely 100% do not cause autism.
2. There is a genetic component to autism, however, through extensive research that is still ongoing, we do not know what that component is yet.
3. Autism does primarily occur in males, and if you have one child with autism, there is an increased risk for each subsequent child to have autism each time.
4. There is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent or predict your child having autism. It is also highly unlikely to notice any actual symptoms until the child is AT LEAST two years old.
5. Autism is a HUGE spectrum and every autistic individual is very different. Autism doesn't automatically mean behavioral problems, no communication, and/or being an outcast.
6. Most importantly, early intervention if your child DOES have autism is soooo crucial to their development!

There are studies going on currently with eye gaze tracking in babies. That's the earliest testing that I know of (I was a special education teacher, so I have some knowledge but I'm not a doctor so I don't have all of the info). For now, try not to stress. Autism hasn't been proven hereditary, so I wouldn't worry too much. Talk to your pediatrician when your son is born of you have any concerns.

I think you'll be okay honestly. You have less of a chance than they did, because it was more than likely something about the way their genes mixed, and since you're not autistic, you may not carry the gene. That's just my opinion though. Don't stress you self too much, I'm sure your sweet babe will be perfectly fine.

Have your parents tried diet at all with your brothers? I have a friend whose son is autistic and they switched him to a gluten free diet and his behavioral issues have completely changed.

My 4yr daughter is autistic we didn't notice anything this she was 18months old she wasn't speaking was our big red flag. She was diagnosed at 2and half years old. Even knowing there's a 15 to 20% chance out little boy could be to we are okay with it and know we will do everything possible for him. The only test I know of fragile X. I had the blood taken by my isn is won't pay for it. My husband and I are like it is what is and we can't change it he is so we will just do our best. They really don't know what causes it some genetics some Environmental factors. My daughter is the fist in our family. My brothers little boy is neurotypical. You will love that baby no matter what. That's all that matters.

Dr. Rhonda Patrick has done a ton of research and has said there's a link to vitamin D deficiency in prenatal diets and autistic children. I take a vitamin d supplement daily

You have to hit package insert once your on the link. All vaccine info comes up. There are both the short and long package inserts the short ones say nothing the long ones have all the info so look closely. The long insert for tdap for example mentions increase in sids etc.

There is an autism spectrum which shows where the child is at between mild autism and severe autism, you won't be able to tell until the child 5. A doctor will not diagnosis autism before then. So there is no way to tell if your fetus is or will be autistic

My almost 10 year old daughter has autism but her two other brothers don't I am now pregnant with another girl so it kinda scares me too
