Escape Rooms while pregnant?

I'm 22 weeks pregnant and my friend is planning on having all of us go to an escape room for his birthday. I don't want to sound paranoid for not wanting to go but I'm not too sure it's the best activity for a pregnant women. Thoughts?

Hahaha. You literally sit/stand around & try to solve puzzles. It's nothing to worry about.

These are a ton of fun! The one I did was not physical really, I think at one point someone had to get on a short ladder to reach a clue. But that's it. Call the location before and ask what is involved. They will tell you if it's safe for you.

My only worry would be needing a bathroom!

I've done many of them and a few while pregnant. You'll be fine. If for some reason you HAD to get out of there, they'll let you out. It's not like you're really trapped in there with no way out until you figure it out. There is a time limit (usually 30-60 minutes) before they open it anyway. You can do whatever you want in there. It's not stressful and it's not physically demanding. There is no reason a pregnant woman shouldn't do one. Just make sure you pee right before you go in and slow your water intake a few hours before.

I don't know why anyone would vote that they wouldn't risk it. There is seriously NO reason to not do it. Even the "scary" ones are light hearted and fun. It's just a puzzle.

You basically do as much or little as you want in there. Maybe you can be designated reader or something. They might even ask you before if you're pregnant and not let you go due to liability.
