Disposable to Cloth?!

Question

So my sweet girl is 3 weeks old, and growing too fast. She is breastfeedig extremely well, and therefore her poop game is going strong. Right now we are using Pampers diapers and Honest wipes (she was allergic to others we tried). I wanted to cloth diaper so bad, but had no support, I.E no one would do it with me. I talked my SO into agreeing to cloth diaper once she isn't going through 10+ diapers a day. 
My questions are:
1. Around what time would you recommend starting?
2. How many should I get to start?
3. Best disposable inserts?
4. Can she still wear disposable at night and at daycare or do I need to exclusively cloth diaper?

I love flats and covers! I use flour sack towels from Wal-Mart. It's a very inexpensive way to cloth diaper. We started at 2 weeks. Depending on how big your baby is you might have to buy newborn diapers, which is an additional cost. Many parents decide to wait until their babes can fit into a one size diaper. We still use disposables overnight. We will be switching to cloth pretty soon though. Pinterest and YouTube have lots of blogs and videos that help break down the different kinds of systems and how to take care of everything. I'd start there and decide what kind of system you want.

I recommend starting right away! I recommend one size pocket diapers  as they can fit from 7 lbs to potty training and get hemp/bamboo inserts. I would invest in 24-36 diapers (laundering every 2-3 days) and definitely get cloth wipes as well to save even more money! You will also need two wet bags and some detergent... I use soap nuts to wash my diapers as they can be used up to 4 washes, are cost affordable and really good on diapers. We've been cloth diapering since baby was 2 weeks old and I love it!
