progesterone while pregnant

Hey ladies. Do you have experience with progesterone pills? I have a pretty bad hormonal imbalance and we had a miscarriage because of it back in June. I have a strong feeling a may be getting pregnant and miscarrying during the two week wait. The doctor just prescribed progesterone to take on day 10-21 of my cycle, so during ovulation? Any success stories?
