How long did it take for yours to go away? I think I'm stuck with my lazy finger, lol. Oh well. Hopefully it just doesn't get worse because it hurts really bad!

I think about a month? It was way worse before my little one was born.

Couple months and watch out for De Quarvains syndrome, inflammation of the joint at base of thumb. I got that next and it hurts all the time

Mine was unbearable. Lasted almost 3 months.

Get a wrist brace and take an anti inflammatory. I prefer to take alleve because it's chemically called naproxen and when I damaged my thumb, dequirveins tenosynovitis (mothers thumb), I was prescribed naproxen and it worked well for my pain and the swelling.
I was sick and I fell up 2 sets of stairs within 30 seconds and I landed flat on my hands and suddenly my right hand was hurting. I had an xray done cuz my Dr thought I may have broken a small bone in my wrist because it was the same wrist I'd injured before. Thankfully it was just carpel tunnel. I do suggest a brace, some anti inflammatory and see a chiropractor. Sometimes a lot of it is also a pinched nerve in your neck or shoulder or elbow. For me my issues go all the way up my right arm into my neck. Once your feeling better you have to be aware of how you are moving. I was told big movements when I hurt my hand. So don't pick anything up (even a small box or a coffee mug) with just my hands, use your whole arm and if it's larger use your whole body. Think big I was told.

At six weeks I finally gave up and got steroid injections. It worked completely in one hand, the other still has two numb fingers. I'm currently 11 weeks PP. It probably took about a month after the shots to reach the full benefit.
