Weddings

I've been engaged since last February and in December we decided to start planning for a fall wedding. We picked a date that we were shooting for but knew it was flexible if we found a place we loved and they didn't have our date open. One of my friends just got a new boyfriend about a month or so ago and is telling me that when I can and cannot plan my wedding because hers is scheduled for October 7th. My thing is - I refuse to plan my special day around someone else' who isn't even engaged. There is no ring, they aren't engaged, he hasn't asked, yet I'm being told When I move my date I need to move it up and not back. My son will be a year in September which is when we were shooting for, I want him to be able to walk down the aisle, which had a lot to do with when we planned to get married. I'm so frustrated being told that When I can do my own wedding. Thoughts??
