calling in sick

Okay, I get to see my bf this weekend who I only get to see every other weekend. And I'm going to see my fav comedian live. But this is only if I call into work because I have to work the day/night this is all going down. I never ever call in sick, so I'm nervous. Any advice, or what exactly I should say?
