My boyfriend doesn't love me

So we went through the whole first i love you phase and we were saying it everyday but it just felt off when he said it so I talked to him about it and he was like "maybe I don't love you yet, I have never loved anyone before so I probably don't" so that hurt a lot and now, literally whenever we are together so like the whole weekend and almost every weekday I do all I can to love him and care for him and I do every and anything for him.
