My BF left me cause I decided to keep the baby

When I found out I was pregnant we both talked about the choices to keep it or get rid of it we decided to get rid of it mostly cause he though we needed more time to plan and save money but he thought me getting rid of it and getting pregnant again in 10 months would be fine. I kept thinking about getting an abortion and I couldn't do it. I told him I changed my mind and he left me saying I'm irrational and selfish for keeping it when we haven't planned but I think 9 months is long enough to save and adjust. Now he doubts it's even his and says he wants paternity. I told him if he doesn't want to be a family that I will do this on my own since he thinks this will ruin his life and he doesn't have the money for it. My mother is willing to help me some so it's not like we are by our selves on this. So that being said he wants to spend money on lawyers to get his 50% time when he already said this will ruin his life(mind you he's 40) and he doesn't have the money for a kid. So instead of talking together he's going to fight and spend money that he claims he doesn't have to rip this kids life in two. Does that make any sense?
