Me and my FWB always had a thing. We were really good friends and then it turned into liking each other and got complicated and so we left it but I don't know, somehow it turned into fwb and therapy sessions. Because we were friends first it was always easy to talk to him. Nothing ever came out of it but even after years w/o seeing each other we still text occasionally, saying hbd or how are you. I dunno I still value the friendship we retained 😊 it worked for me but I don't think it can work for everyone

Just don't start texting or calling a lot because if you do you'll get attached. Just keep it at fwb.

I'd say no because one of you ends up getting feelings and the other doesn't and it makes it awkward so they leave and you're left heartbroken. Usually. I'm not saying all the time but I'm no longer into it. It's hard.
