When to install car seat

When did you install your baby's car seat?

We installed the base when we got it, around 37 weeks. We kept the car seat in the house with our hospital bag until I was admitted to L&D.

We did it that way because I heard that if you get in a wreck and damaged the car seat, you would need to replace it, so we didn't take any chances.

We put ours in the night before my induction

I'm getting induced tomorrow I will install it today. I have two older boys so I waited until the last minute so they weren't cramped until the baby gets here

The day we left the hospital- it snowed so my husband put it in the Yukon but I had been trying to get him to put it in starting at Christmas- baby was born on January 5, 15 days early but 8 days before inducement date
