When are you FULLY protected on birth control?

If I just started taking birth control and had sex on the 6th pill, am I still considered protected because I was so close to the 7th day? I took it a little later than I should have (5 days after period ended)

You have to wait for the FULL WEEK for it to be completely effective. You still have a chance of being pregnant, but it's not as high. I highly advise you to read your pamphlet because every brand is different. Also contact your doctor and pharmacist to ask too.
