Measuring at 5 weeks on ultrasound when I should be 7. Normal? I

Went In for spotting and had an early ultrasound. Turns out I'm measuring two weeks behind. Maybe he baby stopped developing or maybe my dates are wrong. Is it common?

Just got of the phone with my gyno she told me to not worry about brown blood that it's fine. And since I have an app scheduled for next Monday to wait to come in until then. 
She didn't sound all that concerned that I was measuring behind.

My cycles are a little longer, about 32 days or so. My first baby measured right on time, but my second measured 9 days smaller. It can be perfectly normal since your body doesn't ovulate the exact same day every cycle and some babies may take a little longer to implant.

I'm going through the same thing. I should be about 6 weeks (give or take a couple days) my cycles are anywhere from 30-34 days recently. 
I had severe cramping yesterday and went to the ER and my baby was measuring 4-5 weeks, but I can't be in the 4 week range. I found out over a week ago and the test was instantly positive, like I have to be over 4 weeks then. Anywho, they tested my blood HCG levels and they were low. And I started bleeding a bit, not much though. But I have to go back tomorrow to retest my levels to see if they're growing or not.

Very common. I had a scan at 6 weeks with my son, he measured 4. I went back two weeks later and he measured 8+3. There's huge variation in the first trimester.

Same is going on with me. based on my lmp i was suppose to be 8wks 3 days but baby was measuring 6wks 5 days so i go tomorrow (week later) to see if baby grew any. i wish you the best!

My daughter measured behind my whole pregnancy, but she was born healthy at 37 weeks. She was small, 5 pounds 7 oz 18 inches long but she is now 8 months and a chubby one. No complications. I'm sure everything will be fine 😊

I had an appointment around 8wks 4 days and the ultrasound showed the baby to be 7wks. They can't determine the actual date that the baby was conceived. Each time I go in they give me a different due date around the same area.
