It's a Girl!

Grace
She's finally here! My Finley Jo finally made her appearance! On Thursday Jan 26th at 7:00pm at 42 weeks and 3 days I went into active labor. Drove to my birth center for a prenatal massage. After 2 hours I was 5cm and got my bloody show so they had me stay and called my midwife. We labored very hard for 36 hours and I became so tired and there was no progression past 8cm. My midwife suggested we move to the hospital so we could get baby out and I could get some energy back. I was so upset. Moving meant I didn't deliver with my midwife and my plan for no intervention turned into people I didn't know poking and prodding me and intervention had to happen for me to meet my girl. We labored with an epidural for about 7 more hours and at 4:01am Saturday the 28th I met Finley! She's amazing and I'm enthralled by her! We're both loving life and so ready to go home! At 42 weeks and 5 days, 45 hours of labor, a transfer of care, an epidural, and 45 minutes of pushing. She is 8lb 2oz and 21 inches. Eating and sleeping like a pro! She's definitely worth every ounce of pain and every second of waiting! Praising my Jesus!
