I developed mastisis suddenly Thursday evening and began antibiotics Friday afternoon. It is now Sunday morning and i still feel a lot of pain but now even my nipple is tender to touch and the areola hurts when i press on it. The pain began under my right breast where an underwire would lay (i dont use a bra with underwire) and wrapped around. Even under my arm pit hurt. My question is, anyone who has had mastisis... how many days of antibiotics before you noticed improvement? It will soon be 48 hrs for me and im feeling hopeless. The only improvement ive noticed is my fever & body aches have let up. Thank you!
