If the baby's dad/mom is still in the kids life is it's okay to write on social media my child instead of our child?

I personally hate that. The other parent is still in it's life you could write our child instead of my kid. This is just one of my biggest pet peeves.

My husband and I are still together. I call our son, "my son" sometimes instead of "our son". I don't really see the problem...

It really depends on the situation. If the other parent is relevant to the situation (the three of them were doing a group activity, the parent was specifically talking about the other parent, etc), then I think it's rude to not say "our child." However, if it's something not involving the parent, I think "my child" would be appropriate.

I will say "our son" if it also is about his father. If I am talking about something that doesn't include him I will say "my son".

I'll say my child but I'm with my husband. It's my social media. Everyone knows his dad is around.

"Our" child sounds like you and the father are a unit and are together. If you're not together you can say "my" and it sounds fine.

I say our daughter because I'm with my husband. But if we were to get divorced I would refer to her as my daughter.

I'm married with 3 boys and say "my" , "ours", "yours"  it's not to discredit or leave out my husband when I say"my". It just depends what I'm talking about as to how I word it. My husband doesn't care when I say things like "my boys" for example.

I'm married, but I don't always say "our child" unless I'm talking about my husband and I and our son. Otherwise, he's my child.
