any marital tips?

How do you ladies deal with your husbands when they act in the simplest term...pure stupid. How do you all talk to your husbands to get him to understand to listen. I'm so frustrated and just want to give up. Smh. Tired of arguing over petty small things. Do you all have any marital tips to kee the peace and how do you all handle disagreements?

Picking battles for sure! I always try to think is this really going to matter 5 minutes from now? 5 hours from now? 5 days from now? Etc. Especially when it comes to the little things. It's been 3 years and my husband still can't grasp the concept of a laundry basket. It infuriates me. But in 5 years will it matter that I had to pick up his clothes from the bathroom floor every night? No. If your fighting over something more important (say, you don't like the way he talks to you) then that's a DISCUSSION worth having. Try bringing it up outside of an active fight. I've found that to be helpful.

I have learned you have to pick your battles. Something's you have to learn to let go. Little things that annoy you. We both came from different families and we do things differently because that's how we were taught, and that's ok. But I had to learn that it was ok. It's hard to not pick at little things when you do them a certain way or want them done a certain way and he doesn't do them my way.  My advice would be pick your battles girl friend.

Usually I try to go somewhere and cool down . Stop thinking about it and chill . Most of the time I see that I'm being just as silly as he is . Then if we're still having trouble we try to have a discussion about it NOT argue. Two different things . We will take turns sharing our sides and persepectives . When we're discussing something we agree no interruptions. We can usually get things settled pretty well that way .

We have Gina through rough patches an I've found when he isn't understanding I take him out for a drink and call a date night . We turn off our phones and concentrate on each other an I'm brutally honest with what's up. Sometimes it's me being preggo sensitive an sometimes it's him being stupid as crap. Either way a little time off an focusing on each other seems to get things back on track. Good luck!!!

Remember that everyone was different love languages. Whatever yours is, may not be his. Learn what works for the two of you. My husband does not like to talk about things, I need to talk through EVERYTHING. We know this about each other so we work through it.

We literally fight it out if we have to,  we will argue cry whatever we have to do but we communicate and that to me is the most Important thing. I hate talking about my feelings its so hard for me,  but he will sit there with me and help me talk thru it.  I think it's what's made our relationship so strong.  :)

I've learned to NOT argue back. No matter how loud hubby argues - keep your tone down, and provide ONLY facts as your "argument".

Learn to ignore what can be ignored. Seriously. When they are being stupid there's no use unless it's a very serious issue, even then, keep sentences short lmao make your point and then go away from him before he pisses you off by saying something TOO stupid.
