I've been a vegetarian since I was six. I'm twenty-one, almost twenty-two, and I'm 27 weeks and 2 days pregnant with our baby girl. Everyone my whole life told me I'd crave meat when I'm pregnant. But I haven't. I haven't eaten any meat at all during pregnancy. Or in years. Baby girl is absolutely perfect and healthy so far! 😊

I was experimenting with a plant based diet before I found out I was pregnant (was only going on for about a month) and when I started getting morning sickness I couldn't STAND any of the food I was eating. so I went back to my normal diet. I do hope to transition back to a more plant based diet after giving birth though :)

I was already eating fish and moose (my father is a hunter and I know he killed the animal respectfully, if I can say it like that) but I started to eat chicken, basically because I had an aversion to tofu and beans! Now that I'm in my 2nd trimester I'm slacking on the poultry.

I have had salmon twice in the past 21 weeks.  My nutritionist said to have fish once a week, but I just can't do it.

I was vegan before I got pregnant, and up until 25 weeks pregnant. Because I kept losing and losing weight and then baby stopped growing. So now I eat whatever, it's just hard to get back into eating chicken or ground beef. And I still can't Drink milk, but I do drink soy. Now I am up 7 pounds from pre pregnancy weight at 33 weeks :)

I was vegan for about 6 months before getting pregnant and loved everything about it. But I got SUPER bad morning sickness. Like losing 10 pounds in a week when I was fairly thin to begin with. Unfortunately the only thing that didn't make me want to barf was cheese pizza and chicken strips. I think my body knew what it needed more than I did. Lots of calcium and protein.  I figured I would rather have a healthy baby than eat whatever I thought I should. I'm mostly back to a vegetarian diet now that my morning sickness is better though.

I've craved it a couple times but the actual idea is still sickening to me. I haven't yet (almost 33 weeks) and won't. My doctor is totally unconcerned by my diet.
