What do you think of the name Jeanne for a girl?

It's French but I'm wondering if people will know to pronounce it the correct way, which sounds kind of like "Jan" in French.

Looking at it I thought it was pronounced "jean" or "Jeanie", but idk it could just be me.

Realistically, you & she will have to correct a lot of people who haven't had exposure to French, but I don't think that needs to be a dealbreaker! It's a pretty name. :)

honestly if you love the name you should just go with it! my name is Arianna and people pronounce it all kinds of ways (including adding an extra letter to make Adrianna 🙄) but I don't mind correcting people. you just have to think about whether that would bother you a lot or not

My bestie is Jeanne Marie. We call her Jeanne. I know you know OP - but it's pronounced John with out the hard J sound.
