40+3 FTM here and seriously have not experienced ANY sort of contractions, not even Braxton hicks. I'm afraid that if/when they do come, I'll either a)not realize what they are until too late or b) I'll be so um prepared for the pain that it'll be unbearable. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, but since I haven't experienced any sort of contraction, I have nothing to base my pain level off of (if that makes sense). Any other first time mom's experience this? And how was it when yo finally did have contractions?
