Positive advice on induction?

I'm 38 weeks and 2 days... I'm suffering with extreme nerve problems I haven't slept in the past two weeks cause my legs hurt so bad!! I have so much pelvic pressure, sitting up hurts, walking hurts, when the baby moves I cringe!! Would it be wrong of me to ask to be induced at 39 weeks?? No negative comments please.

No judgement here!! I was induced at 39 weeks with both of my kids. I LOVED it! I was prepared, I was able to shower, shave and not rush, lol. For me it was a good experience. I had horrible hip pain from about 4 months on with my son. Started the induction at 7am and had my son just a few short hrs later at 12:45 pm. I know not everyone has had a good experience with being induced. But I am so glad. I had asked my MD if I could be induced, and he agreed to do it 😃. It doesn't hurt to at least ask! I'm 36.2 and will be asking my MD if my 3rd can be induced at 39 weeks if he/she hasn't come out yet 😂😂. Good luck!

I swear I could've written this. I have been in such bad excruciating pain my doctor thought I was in early labor last week. But here I am almost a week later, still pregnant and in even more pain. I'm 3.5cm dilated and I was really hoping I would have him by next appointment which is this Wednesday. But if I don't I will be asking to get induced in the next week! I'm 38 weeks and 4 days with my second baby. My first came at 37 weeks and 3 days on her own so I didn't experience any of this. My pain is so bad it's getting difficult to take care of my daughter because I can barely move! I'm preparing for them to say no to induction only because I don't want to be upset if they say no, but I'm still asking.

Honestly there's no harm in asking! I'm right there with you at the pain factor and I'm only 37 weeks so I have to hang in there a little bit longer. 
But if you're hurting and uncomfortable then ask!

My friend had this they refused to induce her maybe your doctor will say yes to you try asking and go into detail with the pain they just brushed my friend off saying it normal she stayed in agony and was overdue

Wow girl poor you I consider you because I know the pain I ve been having pelvic Pain and also backache it's a nightmare but I'll hang in there and wait to see when baby will decide to come :)

I am being induced at 39 weeks also! For me that's tomorrow 😁. I have been having false labor for the past month! I have been dilated at 3cm for the past month. I hurt so bad I can't do anything. Can't sleep can't walk nothing helps but baths and I take about 3 a day. My doctor knows how bad I have been hurting so when I asked him at my last appointment he told me to be at the hospital at 5 the day I was 39 weeks! There is nothing wrong with asking and if your hurting like I am then go for it. Yes I know some moms get all beside themselves about being induced but oh well they can get over it! I couldn't imagine going over 1 or 2 weeks waiting for my little one to come. I am already so miserable. Good luck to you

No harm at all girl!!! I have my 37 week check up tomorrow and I honestly plan on asking can we go ahead and get this over with I feel like I just can't do two more weeks 😞😞😞

Thank you so much for all the positive posts regarding being induced. I'm due in two days and will be induced Thursday if I don't go into labor before then, which seems likely. I have been nervous about it because I have heard and also read about possible complications, it being more intense, etc. It's encouraging to read about positive induction stories.

My doctor offered to induce me at 39 weeks so I'm going for it! 3 days to go!!
