Narrow Cervix

I went in this morning to have an HSG. The doctor got started and I could tell shortly after that something was wrong. He tried several times but he couldn't get the tube (to inject the dye) through my cervix. He said my cervix is very narrow and that he could've forced the tube through but it wouldn't have been pleasant for me.

So he wants me to come back next month on cycle day 5 (today was cycle day 7 for me) and he also prescribed me Cytotec to take for three days before I go in for the HSG next time. It's supposed to help soften the cervix.

This morning I was in shock and couldn't think of any questions but now that I'm home I'm wondering if having a narrow cervix is why we haven't been able to conceive in the past 13 months?

Has anyone else had this happen?

Were you able to get pregnant?

And did you have do to anything "extra" to get pregnant?
