I don't really think Trump is doing the dividing as Americans, I think we are doing that to ourselves. Anti trump supporters saying that they won't associate with trump supporters & vice versa, hate coming from both sides, IMO that's what it's doing the dividing

The truth is that we as a country have allowed ourselves to become divided. We've allowed politicians and activists and talking heads to put us all into groups and tell us what we're supposed to think and do according to our preordained group. It's bullshit. And, it by no means started with Trump.

People who are rioting are dividing us, not our president.

The fact that most people live behind the social media veil its much, much worse than its ever been. When Obama was elected in 2008, FB wasn't popular at all. 2012, still not as popular. Nowadays everyone is a keyboard ninja and the fighting is ruthless. Its kind of sad honestly.

Not sure if you can really say trump is the reason for all division. We tend to keep labeling ourselves and refusing to see eye to eye. Liberals vs conservatives, democrat vs Republican, White vs POC, men vs women vs everyone else, Religious people vs non believers, pro life vs pro choice, rich vs poor, old vs young, the list goes on. He was a catalyst though for some people's actions. Some people might say that we are coming together to go against him, but even if he was somehow taken from office or his executive orders repealed, we would end up back on square one.

In this case, I think that people are dividing themselves.

It's hard to say. A lot of people felt like Obama divided everybody a lot.... And I'm sure a lot of people think Trump has....but he's been in office a week.... I think politics in general are dividing people, nobody can seem to tolerate the other side on either side

We've been divided long before this previous election even started. Anyone trying to deny that is a damn liar. As of now, I think it's too soon to tell, the only thing I can say for certain is that some people are acting REALLY immature about how the election went.

Trump did great this week (according to his supporters) - LA Times " Two weeks ago, the same poll found that 76% of Republicans approved of the job Trump was doing; now that number is at 81%.
