I have deep disliking towards my SO's mother, it's so bad I probably shouldnt continue on as you all would think I'm awful, but she's terrible. But lives in Hawaii thank the gods (we're in Michigan). Anyways, we have a named pretty much picked out, it's the only name we both are agreeing on at this point. So he gets off the phone with his mother this evening and all of a sudden says it's her side of the families tradition the first born son has the fathers first OR middle name in his name 😑😑😑 (mind you it's the first time this whole family tradition thing has been brought up, out of nowhere) not a huge fan of my SO's first name and I definitely do not like his middle name, it's Damien, as in the demon child from the movie....OK NOT HAPPENING! I told him the child would carry on his last name, and I was hoping he would be ok with using my father, grandfather, and great grandfathers middle name. Long story short we got into a fight. This might seem petty but his f'ing mother pulls this shit all the time in our lives. She left him and his brother when they were little and has been a shitty mother ever since. I'm so frustrated, I just want our baby's name to be perfect
