Teething Advice??

Question

I think my little girl is teething..she's three months old and is constantly drooling and biting on her hands..I give her Tylenol when she is really upset but I was wondering if anyone had any other advice??

My daughter definitely is too. It's not just drool and biting, it's fussy and just not herself and when we rub her gums she feels so much better. Tylenol doesn't seem to do much that I've noticed. Hylands used to have awesome teething tablets that calmed them down but they discontinued them this last year 😥

Our pediatrician said that they will start chewing on their hands because they are "discovering" them and learning how to use them, also the saliva is normal. I'm a dental hygienist, most babies begin teething around 6 months. If you do have an early teether, try the binkies that you can put baby food in and freeze. I would put fruit in it, if you're ok with that. I hear rave reviews about those. If you think it's pain use orajel, Tylenol should really only be used for fevers.

My los pediatrician says babies are mouthy and discovery of hands is why. But I don't agree my baby is fussy, what looks like runny poop, drools a lot , rub her fiat hard back and fourth and cries. Doc says it wouldn't hurt now I don't agree.  I bought baby Advil , and oral gel I do t give it more than once a week but I'm scared my mom does the oragel more.  🤔. I tell her don't unless she's really crying

Our pediatrician told us teething is a very long process.  Just because you don't see a tooth doesn't mean there is nothing happening in there.  My LO is 3 months too and does the same thing.  I try to sit with him and play with teether toys.  He totally chews on them and it seems to sooth him for a while. Good luck! 💓

My middle son took teething the worst so I learned a few things that helped him that I'm doing with my now 3 month old. My MIL had brought home a green onion one day and she cut it in half and rubbed it on his gums and literally helped him so much way better than oragel and safer but also they sell teething toys that vibrate so when they bite down the vibration helps the pain a bit. Hope it helps cause my baby started teething at 2 months but luckily not much pain just bites me with his gums while nursing lol

It's normal at 3 months since their bodies are read for her to start putting everything in her mouth so it's producing more saliva
