How much medicine do I give my baby?

Baby girl Aliyah gets her shots tomorrow. How much infant Tylenol do I give her and how soon before her shots?

Don't give any.  I was going to but learned that if it's given before the shots the baby doesn't get or build up the highest immunity. A slight fever is almost a good thing bc that means their body is working.  My sons dr said to really only give it if his temp was like 103 but my son never got a fever and cried for about a minute

I got this last month from my baby pediatrician, she suggested I give some after shots, my baby weighed 10lbs12oz so I gave 1.25mL

I gave her 2.5 ml that night around 7 when she started to get a fever. Not before

My son had his shots at 6 weeks and I gave him 0.3ml of Tylenol and it was suggested but not necessary if I didn't want to give it. It is completely okay if you give it though. The recommended dose for him was 0.2ml and that dose was given to me by his pediatrician at his 6 week appt as he weighed almost 13 lbs. Everyone has their opinion on giving them some sort of pain med prior, like they do for everything. I chose to give it and he was fine and overall handled his shots amazingly and never acquired a fever. I am a RN and used my nursing judgment and chose to give it so he can be more comfortable during and after his shots, it was my own choice to make even after reading the same stuff people are commenting on here. Good luck and if you decide to I'd give 0.2-0.3ml :)

NONE!!! It will basically make shots pointless. Don't give any after either. You will survive! Mine screamed during but slept a lot after.
