My mum keeps comparing my baby to how I was as a baby. My daughter is only 3 months old, so of course she cant exactly do much but as someone who works in childcare and studied it for 2 years, i know every child is different and she is not behind in any of her milestones. When I was a baby, i was 'advanced' so my mum expects her grandchild to be the same and I keep telling her it doesnt work like that. Im dreading as my daughter gets older, as I was walking by 8 months old, I started gymnastics when I was 9 months old, I was talking by 10 months and I could speak fluent english & alot of french by the time I was 2, I was toilet trained by my first birthday... if my baby doesnt do any of that stuff by that age (I know is very unlikely she will) then my mum is going to be driving me insane. I tend to ignore her, just needed somewhere to rant 😓
