cramps...hot water bottle??

I wanna try a hot water bottle for cramps bc I've heard a lot of girls say that really helps ease the pain but I thought you weren't supposed to heat them up in the microwave???

Im still too scared to put a water bottle in the microwave! I prefer a heating pad but when I dont have one people say its ok to microwave a water bottle but Im scared so I just put a cup of water in there then pour it in a water bottle but be careful its very hot.
