woman falsely accused for burning Quran

She was killed by a mob at the Muslim shrine, they had her body ran over, they drug her to a river bed and threw stones at her body, and set her on fire despite the police officers best efforts to save her.....there's a actual video circulating of this.....the ministry of hajj and religious affairs declared her innocent......

I want to understand. I want to believe this is a religion of peace but....it was like watching a pack of savage dogs....and I couldn't finish the video because it got to graphic.... I'm non religious....and this makes me believe that religion is terrible all around....what are people's opinions on this? These aren't people that are with isis they were a group of people going to pray at a Quran....were they really not Muslims? Was the article misleading?
