When did you let your baby sleep on its stomach?

My baby only falls asleep when she's on her stomach. Her neck is very strong, but I'm scared to let her sleep by herself like that. For now she only sleeps on my chest. She is 1 month old.

I never did until he started to roll and would end up that way. It's not that I didn't want him to that's just how all my babies preferred to sleep. I figure it's what's most comfortable for baby that is best bc the sleep position is constantly changing anyways.

My son started rolling onto his stomach to sleep when he was about 5 months old and it would freak me out to where I would wake up constantly through the night to check on him. But at his 6 month check up, his pediatrician said that as long as he can roll over I don't have to worry about him. Now he always sleeps face down. I find it endearing because I am the same way 😊

Every one of my kids slept on their stomachs from birth! & I know, they say not to because of SIDS; but babies are passing from SIDS laying on their back as well.

The nurse told me while I was still in the hospital it was OK to let baby sleep on her tummy or side as long as I stayed awake.
For the first month I would sleep with my baby on my chest and her on her tummy. Those were the BEST night sleeps. I miss my little 7lb peanut... she's a 15lb chunky monkey now (4mo tomorrow)

My son, 14 weeks now, has been sleeping on his tummy since he was 3 weeks old. This is the only way I could get him to sleep longer than 20 minutes at a time. At first it was just for naps because I didn't trust it at night but around 5 weeks I started doing it at night and he slept for 5 hours the first night! I did also buy an owlet monitor to monitor him since he does sleep on his tummy.

I highly suggest the owlet to all mom's, I had terrible sleep anxiety and it's such a relief to know your baby is being monitored while you sleep.

My daughter had relux and I always worried about her choking on her spit up or her inhaling it and my mom told me to let her sleep on her tummy so if she did spit up it would be on the bed and she could still breathe so since she was two weeks she's been on her tummy tho now at almost 8 months she rolls all over the place and usually ends up on her back most of the night or on her side curled up to my chest
