breastfeeding??

Ok so when I finally fall pregnant and have my little bundle of joy I would love to breastfeed for as long as possible!! What are your guys pros and cons of it!

The whole thing is a PRO!! I could be a breastfeeding campaigner, soooo many positives, amazing thing to do ! Well done girl!!!

Pro: • healthy for mom&baby • bonding if you don't suffer baby blues or ppd • can feed baby anywhere and anytime • can travel or go out without stress- just you and baby and some tissues and diapers • can put him to sleep/soothe him anytime and anywhere • have a clean conscience • being appreciated by breastfeeding activists moms 😳 • proud about growing a person with your own juices • being proud you do something that millions did before having formula • protecting their guts and immune systems 
Con: • baby becomes demanding • backaches • sleep can become an issue • less freedom for you to go out or do whatever you feel like (ex: a long bath) • various temporary pains• nobody will soothe him/her like you do (which can be problematic) • prolonged night feedings • feel trapped if you suffer ppd • feeling unsexy • low libido • dryness down there • adjusting bra sizes • delayed diet and fitness for shedding extra weight • being the only one in charge during the nights • possible stress with low/high supply or other issues

My daughter is 20 months, she'll be 2 in May. I'm still breastfeeding her but I'm planning to ween soon. I could spend all day listing the pros. The health benefits- my daughter is never sick thanks to the liquid gold, the bond, the financial benefit, I could go on and on. The only con for me is now my daughter is a toddler and she still wants to bf a lot and even though she doesn't need to (it's a comfort thing.) So, telling her no is hard for me at times but it has to be done if I'm going to ween. Other than that there was no cons for me. I always knew I wanted to bf and was prepared mentally for having a few less freedoms.

Pros: food on tap, night feedings are a breeze, one less dish to wash (no bottles),  bonding, less stiff to have to pack when going out.

Cons: never having alone time (if not using bottles at all), never getting a break from baby, same eating restrictions as pregnant, leaky boobs and engorgement, always having to wear boob accessible clothing/bras, teething!

Con: baby always wants it, sometimes just to be soothed.

I thought the pros outweighed the cons for sure! 
1. Bonding 
2. Food that's is perfectly formulated for your baby's needs. Your body receives info from baby's saliva to tell it what the milk needs! Awesome!
3. Passive immunity for illnesses they are too young to be vaccinated for
4. Food on demand- no prep or other things needed
5. No bottles to sanitize and wash! I did pump so there's a little work there 
6. Can feed them anywhere 
7.free .... FREE!!

Cons:
1. Still have to watch what you eat and even things like allergy meds- but there's an awesome app called lactmed that you can find pretty much every med and see what the precautions are 
2. It's not always easy to get you and baby into the swing of things...it can be hard and can be painful at times but it was still the best decisions I made besides making the baby!! Loved it!! ❤️👶🏼

Sorry to hijack this post, but since people are responding already I figured it was a good spot.

I plan on bf my baby (when I have one) but I also plan on working part time so I would need to pump as well.... if you ladies do both, how soon do you introduce the bottle so they don't reject it?

So many pros so many cons do what you feel is right. Buy supplemental formula just in case and don't be afraid to use it! I had to once when my son was a week old and my nipples were cracked and bleeding! He's now 16 months and still on the boob 🤗

I absolutely love it . Just the whole bonding moment my only con is my son bite down on my breast that's so painful
