I've been reading that castor oil helps with inducing which I don't have but I do have canola oil! Will it work ?

There are ALOT of different oils out there, you can't just pick one and hope it works. Castor oil is a laxative, it clears out the bowels and contracts muscles that start getting other muscles contracting and that's what helps speed along. I'm not trying to be mean but you have to educate yourself before you do things like this not just ask strangers. Canola oil may not be dangerous but other things could be

Big difference, yes. And I know we're all feeling desperate...I've done everything these past few days to get things going. But I won't do castor oil. For one, it's going to give you awful cramps and diarreah that you don't need. May even make you throw up. And worse is that you risk baby also having their first bowl movement in the sac and then when your water breaks you've got an emergency situation on your hands due to risk of infection. It's up to you...but really think before you do it.
