Box Braids on White Girls?

I've seen a lot of pictures of white girls with box braids recently. I'm wondering how African-American women perceive this. Do you think it's disrespectful to your culture? Or is it something that's not so serious to be considered wrong? I personally don't have a full opinion on the subject, I usually just say to each their own but I'm curious to know what others think.

I think it looks bad and weird on white people. 
But, it's their hair. 
As long as they aren't shaming black people while also wearing said style, I don't care what they do.

I personally always go on the side of white girls shouldn't wear black hairstyles. Mostly because, black girls are always given shit or called names or being put down because of the hairstyle. While white girls are praised and "so cool" and diverse. 🙄🙄. It's just annoying. I know it's not serious but it's a deep rooted issue.

Most of us honestly don't care because it's just hair. I feel like individuals look nice if done right but they hardly look good on white hair because it's too thin and oily and doesn't hold. Do what you want; people might look at you funny but who cares?

Hi. Black woman here. I don't care how women wear their hair. I don't think box braids look right on white hair because it is too stringy, thin, and it rarely is done right on that type of hair because... it's can't be. Also the fact that box braids if done incorrectly they can take the edges out. You can lose your hair messing around with box braids. Our hair is thicker and curly so it just looks better on black hair. But no if I saw some little white girl walking around with box braids I wouldn't care.
