Red blood but no cramping...yet

I will be 9 weeks tomorrow. I just woke up this morning and it looked like I had some very light brown spotting in my underwear. But it was so light I thought it might be just discharge (sorry tmi). I stood up and felt something wet down there and when I looked a bit of red blood was there. I sat on the toilet and more red blood came out. I don't have any cramping. I am freaking out. Luckily I have a doctors appt today. Someone please give me reassurance as I am scared to death.
