My heart is broken.
I got pregnant while having and IUD also inside my uterus. The pregnancy was an accident, but we were so ready to embrace it and the child that would come.
They told us the risks, but there was also a 100% chance of aborting the baby with the removal of the IUD, so we decided to take the chance of having the baby with the IUD still inside.
I have gone to an ultrasound, once a week, every week, for the last three weeks.. and today I was told that I have lost my baby.
I had been feeling abdominal pain and had been spotting, but I thought it was normal.
And today, after all that the OB/GYN and ultrasound technician have told me, I started bleeding.. real, bright red blood. Not spotting.
I am just so devastated. I was so ready to change my entire life for this child and now I just feel hollow.
I haven't stopped crying since they told me.
