Taking the pill?🤔

i am horrible at taking my pill every day at the same time. o even have a reminder on my phone. so, what time do you ladies usually take yours? i'm trying to pick a strategic time so it's easy to take it every single day.

I take mine at 8pm because I'm always up at that time and don't have to worry about accidentally falling asleep. The latest I get out of class is 7 so I have enough time to eat and stuff before I take it. And on the weekends when I work, it's usually really dead at 8pm and there's nothing to do so it's easy to go and take it quickly. I also set 2 alarms (8pm and 8:20pm)

8pm because I never have anything to do at that time, and if I am out and about I make sure to check the time very often.

I take mine every day at 9:30 I am always up at that time because I have 2 kids. I remember to take it because we'll I have 2 kids and I do not want anymore right now kids are good reminders to take the pill haha.

I picked a super specific time to take my pill: 5:35pm. It works for me. I'm better at remembering and paying attention to odd-numbered times. When it's like on the dot, I time doesn't feel as concrete... can't explain it. But it works. I don't have to worry about awkwardly taking a pill during class, I can take a water fountain break during work to take it, and I won't worry about sleeping through my time. I've got two calendar reminders (one for 24 hours before and one for 2 hours before) as well as an alarm. It took me a week to start taking my pill at the right time and I'm still anxious about it. I don't like relying on my brain to remember the pill but I'm terrified of most other birth control and the more I think about birth control, the more anxious I get.

8PM because that's when I brush my teeth and get to bed. I have an alarm too for weekends. When I'm out or stay up on the weekends I just make sure I'll have my pack with me. It's not sexy to carry around a pack but I take the pill very seriously. If that sounds like too much of a hassle for you, or you want to keep it more private, consider something like the shot, patch, IUD, or implant. Something you don't have to mess with daily.

I take mine at 9 to 9:30 every night because I know I'll be home (I never work later than 8 most of the time). I have a couple reminders set on my phone and honestly even then I STILL forget to take it at times. Whoops 😅
