Young girls, and adult guidance in this community
This post is to the young girls on here. I've seen several posts made by (in my opinion) really young girls. Post like I lost my virginity to a shower head, and even I'm in love with a married man. After reading the post and discovering the poster is 14 and 15, it makes me pause and it makes me sad.
I'm 27, I have three kids, two of them are girls. Growing up as an 80's baby I've had my fair share of experiences. Experiences that I'm seeing on here from really young girls. I'm not shaming or judging I'm just saying slow down, because sex, love, and drugs are not going any where. Your young, you should be worried about what your future career should be, not how to incorrectly(shower head really?) lose your virginity. I'm terrified for the future of my two girls, because it seems nothing is no longer taboo for this generation so imagine how it will be once they turn 14.
I thought this community was compassionate and understanding, yet I've read bashing and demeaning posts and replies made by young girls as well as towards young girls. What message is that sending? It certainly isn't a message of love and understanding and it sure as hell isn't setting a positive example for the younger parts of this community.
