false negative digital?

Alright so I'm aware that your not supposed to take apart digital tests. Iknow this. BUT, that being said, I got 2 faint clear blue positives, and a faint but definite there first response. So I tried my luck with a clear blue digital with smart countdown, not pregnant. Well I opened it, and two very definite lines. Looked around the internet and I've seen people posting pictures with lines waaay fainter than mine, so maybe my line was not dark enough to read it as pregnant? Since it only has one strip that detects the hcg rather than the other ones that have two for the weeks, makes me think that mine should have said pregnant
