help!!!

This morning my LO woke up with a cough and a runny nose. He was good during the day with just a little cough. By 4pm he had a fever so we gave him Advil that helped. 6 hours later he has been trying to sleep and keeps coughing and waking up. I gave him more Advil but he threw up. He also has gas and right after he threw up I checked his temp and it was 101.2. Right now he's sleeping but you can hear he is congested. If he wakes up again I'll check his temp. Should I be concerned and take him to the ER if he keeps breathing heavily and his temp continues to be high?
