Do I date a guy who isn't attractive?

He has an amazing personality and I know we have chemistry for each other but I still can't get past the fact that he isn't attractive.

If you can't "get past it," you answered your own question. Just continue to be friends with him. It's not everyday you get an awesome guy friend--because I've had my share of bad ones 🙄
And who knows, you might actually look past his appearance? For me, the guy has to be at least okay to look at lol so I've been in your position. There was a guy who is still my friend who is absolutely amazing, but I can't date him because I don't find him attractive. And that's okay. Because I have a good friend.

When you really find someone you care about the looks will just be a plus. They will be so attractive to you with just their personality and your connection together will be what makes you fall in love. Wait for the person that makes you melt just by smiling at you.

It's not shallow to want someone you find attractive.  I think if you can't get over it now it will matter latter.  I'm guessing you don't want a perfect 10, just someone nice to look at.  My husband used to be gorgeous when we were younger.   He gained 80 lbs after we were married and it's a turnoff.  So find someone nice to look at who cares about themselves.
