so i have a very high sex drive and people tell me the way to suppress it without actually having sex is to masturbate... i'm only 13 and i don't want people to think i'm nasty or something... people at school make jokes about it and make fun of people who do... and i'm really scared if my parents found out if they would be mad or not... any advice?

It is most definitely okay. I understand where you are coming from. I am 16 and do it all the time. I think it's perfect normal as long as you don't actually have sex with a guy. Masturbating is a natural & very normal thing. The kids at school think it's "funny" only because they are still very immature & don't see it as a body's natural "release". I highly recommend masturbating, it not only lets you get in tune with your body but it's also just fun & very relaxing. Plus it gets rid of your urges without actually needing a partner!
