how do you have an orgasm?

My boyfriend hates how I don't have an orgasm when we have sex but I really never had one and I don't know how it feels or if I ever gotten to that point and just didn't realize it... I love having sex with him but I don't know how to get to that point.... And he wants to stop having sex because he thinks he doesn't please me when we do have sex... Can someone help me
