I'm 19 and have never been to a gynecologist. Is that bad?

If you're sexually active you should go also if you just want birth control or a breast exam anything that specifically has to do with your "lady parts"

I'm going on 21 in may and I still haven't been besides for birth control every year when I was on it. They never checked anything but my breasts. They said I couldn't get a pap till I was 21. Currently waiting until then. They said if I wasn't having any signs of STD's then I didn't need to worry. (She went through the list of symptoms with me on the phone).

Well while regular checks are good and can pick up whether you have stds or cervical cancer my doctor told me it isn't all that necessary until 2 years after the first time you have sex
But I'd go so you can say you've been and to check for all sorts of problems down there

I didn't go for my first time until I was almost 23. Don't be nervous. It's really not that bad. (I'm not saying it's fun...but it's not bad.)
