Hives after getting Nexplanon?

Question

I don't have any known food allergies or jnsensitives. Just got Nexplanon last week. Woke up this morning covered in hives, body and around my face. It could be just something I ate or sometimes I get stress hives or sometimes hives after getting over a pretty bad cold (which is getting over now) although I've never had hives this extensive before. Has anyone else ever gotten hives from birth control?

I had nexplanon implanted June 2017. In August I started itching and it reached an horrific degree by Christmas. It was all over my abdomen and I was tearing my skin to shreds, depressed and my breasts were swollen. I tried fasting for a week in Nov to rule out dietary intolerance, I removed a suspect nickel necklace in Dec, I took antihistamines, I used steroid creams. Only the creams worked but I stopped using them as I didn’t like having steroids absorbed through my skin.  Finally, in Feb 2018, I realised the only thing left was my implant. It was my second nexplanon, the previous one didn’t cause pruritus, so I thought it unlikely to succeed. I had nexplanon removed and coupled this with an autoimmune diet. Within a week the itch has miraculously gone... Thank God!

i’ve has mine for a week and woke up yesterday covered in hives head to toe! my implant site seems to have the biggest lot of hives but i too am getting over a bad flu and wanted to know if you figured out if your hives were due to the implant?
