Baby dry skin?

Question

I am no big fan of baby body lotions because of all the chemicals it comes with. The only lotion I have used a couple of times on my 5 month old baby girl  was Cetaphil Daily Lotion and she has small acne like bumpy rash on her cheeks and forehead from it. I immediately stopped using it, but my baby started develop extremely dry scale skin on her cheeks. I don't know what to apply. Any advise?

Midwife says olive oil or coconut oil is good.

Um...well i feel like i can't make any suggestions since you don't want to use anything with chemicals...but i personally would have just used the baby lotion...you can't protect them from everything no matter how hard you try...i mean laundry detergent has chemical, diapers have chemicals, wipes have chemicals...etc...

That's so weird because normally I have very clear skin, but anytime I use Cetaphil, it triggers eczema on my face. So strange. Anyway… When my daughter was an infant, she had dry skin and a little bit of eczema on her face and we used the Babyganics eczema lotion. It worked great! The other one that worked well was Exederm for babies.
